Zig Zag Bracelet

Diagonal peyote stitch.
Green freshwater pearls, Delicas, the smallest size, DB29.
I have been studying bead stitching for the past few weeks.

I went down to the "Bead Town" in Tokyo, located in Asakusabashi, which is near the "Electric Town" where all the tourists go and Japanese go to buy anything electric. Asakusabashi is just one more stop on the train. There are over 40 shops selling all kinds of beads and semi-precious stones, plastic beads, anything. I went to Miyuki's shop, Bead Factory, and became a member, getting the right to buy beads at 50% off!! All the beads are in big jars and are sold in 8 gram portions.

Diagonal Peyote Stitch Ear rings

These are cute diagonal peyote stitch ear rings with a freshwater pearl. The beads are actually more green looking than in the photos. And the single ear ring and pair are the same ear rings, the photos were taken with different lighting.  The Delica beads actually match the green/blue tint of the pearl.

Learning more about Peyote Stitch

Well, I have decided to work on bead stitching and I am starting with peyote stitch. Of course, I did not do as the book suggested which was a black and white mix of beads. Of course, I had to do a square tetrad of colors in the pastel range.
